Old Buckenham is a Community Primary, co-educational School situated about two and a half miles South of Attleborough.
As a Primary School it caters for the age range 4+ to 11, a seven year educational span.
There are seven classes: one for each academic year. We regard this as particularly advantageous in enabling us to deliver the National Curriculum to classes containing single age ranges.
The school was opened in 1963 and has been extended considerably in the last few years. There are seven classrooms, library, medical inspection room, group activity rooms, administration block, extensive storage facilities and a mobile classroom and additional work areas, one of which has a kiln. There is also a large hall/dining room. A P.E/chair store was built with funds provided largely by the Friends Association. A new I.C.T suite has been installed.
The grounds are an outstanding feature and consist of two hard surfaced areas, a wall providing shelter and opportunity for playing ball games, a conservation area including pond, a very large games' field and an adventure playground.
