Old Buckenham Primary School

Hello, and a very warm welcome to Old Buckenham Primary School!

Old Buckenham is tweeting!

We are a rural community primary school situated in the village of Old Buckenham, Norfolk. As a primary school we cater for the age range 4 to 11, a seven year educational span. We have seven classes: one for each academic year, which enables us to deliver the EYFS and National Curriculum to classes containing single age ranges.

At Old Buckenham Primary School the adults make sure we are happy and safe. The adults are all nice and the school is a great place to learn. We have fun learning at Old Buckenham. There are loads of activities and it is a place where you make friends for life. (OBPS, School Council, Nov 2014)

The school was opened in 1963 and has been extended considerably since then. We are particularly proud of our outstanding grounds including, two playgrounds, a wildlife area with pond, a vast games’ field, international arboretum, amphitheatre, tunnel and mound, an adventure playground and an exciting and stimulating outdoor learning area for our youngest children. We are very lucky to have such a fantastic space for the children.

Due to our close proximity we have very strong links with both the Old Buckenham Pre-school and the Old Buckenham High School, enabling us to work closely together.

We also offer a range of trips and clubs which provide and promote opportunities for children to discover their talents.

Ofsted Report – we are really pleased to share with your our latest Ofsted report where we were judged to be a GOOD school.

Breakfast and After School Club

We are able to offer a daily breakfast and afterschool club, open from 7:45am – 6pm, providing safe and nurturing wrap-around care for our children, including meals.
