I am delighted to be introducing myself to you all as the Headteacher of Old Buckenham Primary School.
I joined the school in January 2015 having previously been the Headteacher at Wortham Primary School (Suffolk) since April 2010 and before this, the Acting Head and Deputy Head at Barnham Primary School (also in Suffolk).
I am married to Graham and I have two children who are in their late teens.
I believe that it is such a privilege to be asked to lead a school and in particular Old Buckenham Primary School. On my very first visit, prior to applying for the post, I sensed the warm welcoming community feel the school has. This is something we receive many positive comments on from visitors to the school.
The staff, governors and I aim to work hard to improve the provision we offer at Old Buckenham Primary School for the children, parents and wider community. Through tight collaborative partnerships with the schools and Headteachers in the ACLA (Acorn Co-operative Learning Alliance), the Local Authority and most recently the Sapientia Education Trust, we were able to move our school quickly from the inadequate Ofsted judgement to be seen as an Ofsted Good.
Should you wish to discuss any element about the school with me, I endeavour to be at the school playground gate before school each day or you can send me an email via the school office on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Mrs J. Humphrey
